Sumario: | "It's 1961, just as desegregation efforts are gathering steam and the Bay of Pigs fiasco is about to happen. A 71-year-old artist with both Cuban and French citizenship finds himself stranded in San Antonio, Texas. with little more than the clothes on his back, a rare pocket watch designed by Salvador Dali, and his one friend in town mysteriously absent. As he strives to stay afloat and out of the hands of the local Cuba Libre gang, and ultimately to return to his home in Paris, he makes friends with an assortment of San Antonio residents--students, librarians, shopkeepers, diner owners, bank tellers--who try to help but are ultimately enriched themselves by their friendship with the eccentric artist"--
