Sumario:Hegel held Aristotle in the greatest esteem, and he especially admired Aristotle's metaphysics of intellect. Aristotle's influence on Hegel is particularly evident in the notion of the absolute idea and that of the absolute intellect. In this volume, Dangel undertakes a first comprehensive and systematic historical analysis of the ways in which Hegel drew upon Aristotle. The study is focused on exploring the extent to which Hegel's metaphysics of the intellect may have been prefigured in Aristotle's works.
