The book is usefully divided into three sections. The first focuses on the frameworks and themes that influence teacher education; the second provides an analysis of the political, economic and epistemological trends that collectively constitute what we call an age of uncertainty in teacher education; and the last discusses ways in which we can attempt to deal with this uncertainty.
