One theme of the collection is Russell's views about propositions and the analysis of propositions, and the relation of those views to his rejection of Idealism. Another theme is the development of Russell's logicism. Hylton emphasizes Russell's conception of logic and argues that Russell's logicism plays a crucial role in Russell's argument against Idealism.
