Sumario:This Excel workbook determines wind loads in both Imperial and metric units in accordance with the 2018 IBC and ASCE/SEI 7-16. Wind loads are calculated on the main wind force resisting systems of the following: (1) enclosed and partially enclosed rigid and flexible buildings, (2) open buildings with monoslope, pitched, or troughed free roofs, (3) enclosed and partially enclosed low-rise buildings, and (4) open or partially enclosed buildings with transverse frames and pitched roofs. Wind loads are calculated for solid freestanding walls and signs, open signs, single-plane open frames, open trussed towers, rooftop structures and equipment, circular bins, silos, tanks, and rooftop solar panels. Wind load calculations are also performed for components and cladding of buildings and other structures.
