Sumario:Max Weber is a classic of cultural and social sciences. His work is part of the core of research and teaching worldwide, and this is particularly true of his methodological writings, which are still receiving lasting attention 100 years after their publication. However, there is still no consensus on Weber's position. The reason for this lies in the lack of processing of the sources. Many important authors whose works Weber received have fallen into oblivion. It is urgently necessary to recall them in order to understand his science theory in all its complexity. This compilation makes a contribution to closing this research gap. It reconstructs the intellectual space of the late 19th and early 20th centuries in which Weber moved and, based on studies of selected authors, shows how comprehensive and interdisciplinary his thinking actually was. Not only authors from the cultural and social sciences are taken into account, but also those from the natural sciences, because Weber was also familiar with the progress of these disciplines.
