| Sumario: | Education has been a recurring theme of analysis and discussion in recent times. After the publication two years ago of the book Ideas in education. Reflections and proposals from the UC, it has become necessary to update the contents, information and proposals in light of the changes, advances and setbacks that have occurred in the field of education. As in the first volume, the objective is to contribute to the discussion with a critical and constructive vision. A group of prominent academics and researchers from UC - most of them also participated in the previous book - approach, with a fresh look, issues such as university autonomy, the regulatory framework for education, quality assurance, education education, inclusion policies, the demunicipalization law, the teaching career, technical-professional education, access and admission to higher education, forms of financing, the development of science and innovation, students with educational needs special education, diversity learning and citizen training, among others. New approaches that are an integral part of educational work are also included, particularly in higher education. These are general training, the Bachelor of General Studies or College program, and the area of student affairs management. On several topics, the book expresses more than one vision, which accounts for the diversity, pluralism, and richness of academic research. |
