These reformist ideas did not emerge in 1967, they even came from the previous decade, but the "take" and the rectorship of Fernando Castillo Velasco were the moment in which they began to acquire a clearer profile and became more concrete in the areas of institutional, research, teaching, in the university government and in the relationship with society.All this happened, moreover, in a country that towards the end of that decade already showed signs of changes, of participation, of reforms in different areas; but that also began to show fractures that would become a growing social polarization and a political crisis that led to the military coup of 1973. | ||
