Sumario:Hans-Joachim Drexhage will turn 70 on September 5, 2018. On this occasion, authors, with whom he was and is in contact in the course of his academic work, have given him a festival as a sign of their solidarity. The volume edited by Kai Ruffing and Kerstin Dross-Krüpe is dedicated to the topics of ancient history, which also make up the focus of Drexhage's research and teaching. 38 contributions examine the ancient world and its reception from the Homeric epics into the 20th century. The focus is primarily on trade history, economic history and social history, but other fields such as numismatics, literature or the history of science and reception are also in focus. In this way, a comprehensive picture of various aspects of ancient research is created, which reflects the diverse interests of the jubilee.
