Rushing, Jr., studies, only those found in manuscripts of Chretien de Troyes' Yvain are placed in any obvious relation with a written text, while those many images of Yvain found on wall-paintings, embriodery, and misericords are not accompanied by text at all. Rushing presents a thematic analysis and interpretation of these latter, navigating between the traditional disciplines of literary study and art history. | ||
