|a It presents the state of the art in workers' health by debating issues such as technological incorporation and the globalization of markets, as well as the persistence of archaic forms of production, the precariousness of work and social exclusion. The focus is the integral health of the worker: the authors seek to interpret the origin of the situations, whether from a technological, economic, social or political point of view. They study the entire work process, which encompasses, above all, social relationships. Among the main contributions of the collection, the incorporation of the service sector into the debate on workers' health and the reflection on mental health issues, addressing the subjectivities, suffering and stress of workers, stand out. The work also brings analyzes on public policies and surveillance in workers' health. By making a diagnosis of the area, the book identifies advances and gaps and, thus, signals proposals for action.
