The conference was held on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the literary scholar, book researcher and Anglicist Norbert Bachleitner Numerous international experts from comparative studies, German studies, English studies, book research, Dutch studies and Hungarian studies discussed questions about the past and future of the book medium, which are published under the title Back to the Future - Digital Media, Historical Book Research and Other Comparative Adventures Buches refers to the interactions that arise between digital media and historical book research. Essays on the aesthetics of digital literature, censorship, translation and transfer, literature and the literary business, literature and travel are collected here as well as contributions on the reception of literary works in translation tongues and questions of transfer (also within the arts). Between the various thematic blocks are literary interventions by the authors Elena Messner, Thomas Ballhausen and Eva Schörkhuber. |
