Sumario:This Philosophy of Law Course – intended for university education – constitutes a systematic exposition of the subject in the light of the natural law doctrine of the great masters of the ancient world (Plato, Aristotle, Cicero), of the Doctors of Christian Philosophy (San Agustín, Santo Tomás de Aquino, Cayetano Vitoria, Domingo de Soto), and later masters such as Taparelli, Liberatore, Zigliara, Mesner, Leclarcq and Fernández Concha. Positivist thought is also exposed, particularly Kelsen's system and, likewise, the ideas of the so-called conceptual positivism and especially Rawls's system. The first part of the work deals completely and rigorously with the notions of anthropology and metaphysics necessary to support the Philosophy of Law and that other texts omit, taking them for granted. The second part contains the theory of the human act and of law, both natural and positive, continues with justice and law, innate rights - especially the right to life and the right to property - and concludes with the topics of family
