| Sumario: | What place have youths taken in the current Argentine political context? What are the main public policies and socio-state regulations directed towards them at present? On which Ministries, agencies and officials do they depend? How and why do they proliferate? public policies that aim to promote youth participation? Is there a correlation between youth mobilization and the construction of youths from a participatory perspective? These are some of the questions that gave rise to this book and in relation to which the results of an empirical research on the relationships between activism and militant youth engagement during Kirchnerism are presented. The study addresses the sociological conditions and the different modalities through which youth is produced as a state category, as well as the interesting and unexplored relationships between young people and the processes of political organization and mobilization. The work accounts for the confluence of heterogeneous meanings around the idea of participation by various groups, actors and subjects, some with no obvious relationship, linked to the creation and implementation of participatory public policies. In this way, the book constitutes a substantive contribution to the production of knowledge, not only academic, that allows us to get out of false dichotomies, densify the analysis, elaborate hypotheses and propose new questions to understand the place and the socio-political construction of youth in the current Argentine context. |
