Beginning with the first academic philosophers around 1400, who were also diplomats and politicians of the early Jagiellonian dynasty, the presentation leads through the humanists of the Renaissance, the protagonists of early modern aristocratic culture, the Enlightenment and Romantics to two thinkers of the 20th century: Tadeusz Kotarbinski dealt with ethics in an original way within the analytical school, and Henryk Elzenberg was able to convey Polish thinking well across cultural borders due to his Western European and global character. The concepts of the Polish philosophers are networked with each other and in the European discourses. Annotated bibliographies for each section make it easier to get started with the academic debate. | ||
