Descripción
Sumario:Trier/Augusta Treverorum is one of the oldest cities in Germany. Dendrochronologically, the first bridge over the Moselle dates back to 18/17 BC. B.C. and the rectangular insula system has so far been considered to have been built at the same time. Both supported the assumption that Trier was even the oldest city in Germany. So far, however, there has been no comprehensive analysis of the archaeological evidence, as only preliminary reports and overviews have been published. The aim of this volume is therefore to use the process of the emergence of a Roman city in a Celtic, agriculturally influenced cultural landscape.
