Sumario:The author examines the representation of sovereignty in canonical works of the Renaissance: Shakespeare's 'Richard II', 'Measure for Measure' and 'The Winter's Tale', Lope de Vega's 'Fuenteovejuna', and Calderón de la Barca's 'Life is a Dream.'
