|a Few studies have been made on Old English verbs of motion after Weman (1933). Verbs of motion are ordinary words, for which cognates can be found among Germanic languages, but the choice of words as renderings of the Latin verbs can be different. This piece of work presents various aspects of the verbs which, basically denoting coming and going, have shown diachronic changes morphologically, semantically and syntactically.
