Sumario:Since March 2017, in a context of worsening political polarization in Venezuela and based on the publication of interviews, collective pronouncements and public statements by academics and political and social activists, the Latin American left is immersed in a deep and passionate debate on the present, past and possible future of the Bolivarian process. The ideas presented in this dossier show that someone can be a defender of the Bolivarian process and critical of some of its most obvious limitations or errors; or to be critical of the government and at the same time defender of the many achievements and achievements of the same process. The objective of this publication is to contribute to creating a space for debate that allows overcoming the defensive and largely sectarian logic that defines the current climate of discussion in the Latin American left. This implies reflecting on opinions and data that are perceived as contrary or wrong, seeking an exchange of relevant and fruitful knowledge without trying to overwhelm those who do not share their own ideas.
