Sumario: | The study discusses the phenomenon of history in contemporary British fiction. Based on the turnover as a determining moment of history, literature of the second half of the twentieth century and rehabilitation of historicist prose, which occurred in the past few decades. The author intentionally avoids significant genre of literature, historical novel and showing work with the theme of history in the novels considered intellectually challenging prose. At the same time, the author notes the connections with the themes and issues discussed in the theoretical literature and their reflection in prose. |
