|a Nanocrystalline apatites constitute the main inorganic part of human hard tissues (bone and teeth), and a growing focus is devoted to prepare synthetic analogs, so-called ""biomimetic"", able to precisely mimic the morphological and physical-chemical features of biological apatites.
