The goal of the conference was to provide a unique opportunity to exchange information, to present the latest results as well as to review the relevant issues on contemporary diffusion research. Keyword: Diffusion, Steel, Glasses, composites, solar energy, fiber, thin films, metals, poymers Fifty-seven papers from the June 2013 conference present recent research on material engineering, material defects analysis, and diffusion processes. Four papers from Federal University of Campina Grande investigate the addition of calcium carbonate in resin transfer molding, simulate the flow of resin injected with variable pressure through an isotropic media, and model water absorption in composites reinforced with coca fiber.
