The 233 papers are grouped as follows: Chapter 1: Processing and Manufacturing, Chapter 2: Structural Ceramics, Chapter 3: Functional Ceramics This two-volume set contains about 220 papers by contributors from 21 countries, from an international conference held in China in November 2013, revealing the latest science and technology of high-performance ceramics. Part 1 contains sections on processing and manufacturing, and structural ceramics. Part 2 continues the section on structural ceramics, then offers a section on functional ceramics. Some topics examined include controllable thermal expansion, low temperature sintering, electrical and physical properties of ferroelectric thin films, properties and processing of porous ceramics, oxidation behavior of amorphous nano-silicate powders, and ceramizable composites for fire resistant applications.
