The work thus provides invaluable insights into the current possibilities existing in these fields. This four-volume set compiles peer-reviewed academic and industrial contributions from a May 2012 conference, describing best practices in civil engineering, architecture, and building materials. Man themes are progress in civil engineering and structures, advanced building materials and sustainable architecture, and sustainable transportation. Volume 1 focuses exclusively on structural engineering topics, such as steel beam-column joints of concrete-filled steel tubes.
