Conquering the world : the War Scroll (1QM) reconsidered /

Presents an examination of the War Scroll (1QM) that suggests that it is a Hellenistic composition describing an eschatological, two-stage, conquest of the world, subsequently updated in order to fit the historical realities faced by the Qumran sectarians under Roman rule.
