| Sumario: | This volume contains the contributions to the 1st International Workshop on the Restoration of Papyri, which was held in Leipzig in September 2006. It provides insights into everyday practices of restoration, exceptional works of restoration, the problems posed by the materials as well as those involved in removing them, and the dissolving of the cartonage of mummies.
