Mapping the Way from Teacher Preparation to edTPA Completion serves as a guide in preparing for the edTPA. Unlike other books on the assessment, this book is formatted to pair with curriculum, methods, and capstone course curricula. While the edTPA is important for teacher candidate's eventual credentialing, it is only an assessment. The learning that takes place during teacher preparation coursework and field experiences is critical to developing the professional capital candidates need to lead classrooms in transformative learning. Thus, this book includes features that make explicit connections between candidates' teacher preparation program learning, teacher performance assessments, and individual reflective practice.
