Dazu wird das internationale Schrifttum zur Flexibilitätsforschung gezielt anhand einer Zitationsanalyse ausgewertet und es werden die Ergebnisse einer empirischen Untersuchung zu den Flexibilitätsanforderungen in produktionswirtschaftlichen Leistungssystemen vorgestellt. Der Autor konzipiert methodische Ansätze zur Beurteilung der produktionswirtschaftlichen Flexibilität auf Unternehmens- und Supply Chain Ebene und weist dessen Funktionsweise nach.
