Sumario:This work was conceived in the context of developing the care for gifted children in the Czech Republic, increasing the interest in this matter, and rising emphasis of the importance of self-image not only for the quality of the empowerment of a person, but also for the influence on the whole level of psychosocial adaptation. The main goal of our investigation was to identify the differences in the self-image profiles related to individual components of the self-concept and the whole self-image between groups of intellectually gifted children and children with average ability.
