Sumario: | Previous studies of corruption have generally focused on its causes and consequences. Little analysis has been devoted on how countries' different corruption configurations and levels of governance impact on anti-corruption effectiveness. Using case studies of Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and South Korea, this book proposes an analytical framework on how anti-corruption strategies can be more effective by tailoring them according to a country's corruption patterns and governance conditions. The book emphasizes the important role of coalitions of anti-corruption champions and of disclosure of information on extent and location of corruption. |
