Subsequent chapters will examine the recent historical and current geopolitical practices of countries as varied as Australia, China, India, Russia, and the United States and provide overviews of current and emerging geopolitical "hot spots" such as Arctic Ocean resources, China's "string of pearls" basing strategy, and Russian energy diplomacy; freely accessible U.S., foreign, and international government organization geopolitical information resources; monographic scholarly literature; databases and scholarly journal articles; gray literature, including dissertations, technical reports, conference proceedings, and social networking utilities; profiles of current geopolitical scholars and their works; and a glossary. |
