Omaha Beach : a flawed victory /

Lewis's assessment of the 1944 Allied invasion of Normandy traces the doctrine behind the operation, and argues that whilst the blame for the disasterous losses traditionally lay with leaders at the site, responsibility belonged to higher levels of operations and strategy planning.
