The volume provides academic essays that reflect this up to now rather neglected issue from the point of view of the three main Buddhist traditions, Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. Her field of research includes Chinese and Tibetan intellectual and religious history and Buddhist studies. Hans-Bernd Zöllner (Dr. phil.) teaches East Asian Studies at the Universities of Hamburg and Passau. His research focuses on Theravada Buddhism and politics and on modern history in Burma/Myanmar. | ||
